Pattaya is a city on Thailand's eastern Gulf coast known for its nightlife, tourist attractions, beaches and much more. A quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s, it's now lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay. Culture and history are in abundance across the city and surrounding areas. Only less than 90 minutes from Bangkok and with U-Tapao airport just 40 minutes away, you couldn't ask for a better location than Pattaya.
Pratumnak AKA The Beverly Hills of Pattaya.
If you are looking for a place to move to but don't want to be far from Pattaya them Pratumnak ticks all the boxes. Unlike Jomtien or Pattaya it's a quiet place to live.
There are some lovely family Thai and European restaurants and you have the very famous Cabbages and Condoms restaurant.
The beach is very nice and you can take a walk along the promenade to Jomtien.
You also have some of the very best property in Pratumnak condos and houses.
Many people get mixed up with Pratumnak and Cosy Beach as they are next to each other.
Cosy Beach has something no other place in Pattaya has, and that's the Chocolate Factory. It's a place you must visit. Fabulous food and the views from the terrace are just breathtaking.
Like Pratumnak it's a quiet place to live. Nice restaurants and family bars.
If you are thinking of renting or buying a property then you must check out Cosy Beach.
Opened up in 2019 is a wine shop that has a huge stock of wines and spirits.
Plenty of the roadside food stalls, 7-11 and many other shops and banks.
Ban Amphur is in between Pattaya and Bang Saray.
Lovely beaches and plenty of shops on Sukhumvit Road. You are close to Ocean Marina and Pheonix golf course.
If you are a fan of fish food, then you have some of the best seafood restaurants that buy their fish fresh of the boats.
If you have never been to ban Amphur then you must go and beath in the clean waters and enjoy the stunning sandy beaches.
Bang Saray Beach is among the most pleasant stretches of sand in the Pattaya area, as well as being a very small, quaint town with a very local atmosphere. It is only just being discovered as a low-key alternative to Pattaya’s hectic hedonism, giving you the chance to enjoy calm days where you have the beach almost to yourself as well as peaceful nights undisturbed by loud music and bright lights.
The sand of Bang Saray Beach is some of the finest you will find on Thailand’s eastern seaboard, although you won’t see much of it during high tide as the water comes in right to the promenade. Even in the middle of the high season, you will find more local families and fishermen there than tourists, not least because there are so few hotels in the area. You will see a few new ones under construction, though, along with some condo developments, so be sure to visit soon to enjoy this peaceful destination.
Jomtien is a town on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand about 165 km south-east of Bangkok in the Chonburi Province. It is about 3 km south of Pattaya and is home to high-rise condominiums, beachside hotels, beaches, and restaurants. More suited to long stay visitors or permanent residents, Jomtien is in itself a family orientated community.
A much quieter location than Pattaya but perfect for those who want a peaceful way of life, but are within a 5-minute ride into the busy town center of Pattaya.
Naklua is a very quiet, residential part of Pattaya, yet it is home to some of the most iconic landmarks and attractions of the entire area, such as the ever-popular Sanctuary of Truth.
Naklua Beach is best described as a beach of two halves, the southern end which borders Pattaya beach is rocky and somewhat neglected, the northern end where Naklua Beach borders Wongamat beach is much more suitable for swimming and sunbathing.
The "Darkside" as it is often referred to by the locals, is actually anything but dark! Over the last 2 years, the east side of Pattaya has undergone considerable changes. Restaurants, cafes, houses and much more have increased and with huge further development to come, it will soon become a very popular location.
For those looking for a rural location close by to the large Maprachan Lake, as well as surrounding areas such as Huay Yai, then the east side is where you want to be looking.
Rayong is an eastern Thai province on the Gulf of Thailand, known for its national parks and beaches. On its south coast, the beach at Ban Phe is home to a fishing community and is the gateway to Koh Samet island, part of the Khao Laem Ya-Mu Ko Samet National Park.
The city is a center of seafood and various kinds of fruits. With its richness of food and beautiful places, Rayong is one of must-see cities responding to various styles of visitors.
